The Netlink was a modem that plugged into the Saturn's cartridge slot. It came bundled with software that allowed the Saturn to browse the web and send e-mail. Some games, such as Duke Nukem 3D, could dial the modem to directly connect to another Saturn for networked play. (As far as I know, there were no truly online games for the Saturn)
