Overview edit · view history

Absolute Entertainment was founded in 1986 by former Activision designers and programmers David Crane, Dan Kitchen and Garry Kitchen.

The name was specifically chosen to have the company listed alphabetically above Activision (and Accolade), just as Activision did in the past to be listed above Atari.

The company had a successful run in their early life, but in the later part of the 1990s, their sales slowly declined. The company eventually folded in 1995. Most of the employees went to Skyworks Technologies when the company went out of business.
