Overview edit · view history

Cinematix Studios was a game and game tools developer located in Tempe, Arizona (USA). The company was founded by Jong Yoon and Ben Cooley in 1993.

Cinematix also developed the Hydra Game Construction System, a 3D level and world builder which built and deployed 3D game content for the PC, Mac, and next generation consoles, similar to Microsoft's Visual Basic. Their "iGame Net Engine" was a 3D internet plugin for viewing streaming 3D games and other 3D content created with the Hydra System.

Only two games were successfully released commercially by Cinematix Studios: Total Mayhem (1996), and Revenant (1999).

In 2001, the company established Cinematix Korea, a 3D animation and modelling studio.

Announced and later cancelled games were: Hirelings, a magical 3D platformer, and Renegade Zero, a 3D action shooter set in the far future.

Credited on 2 Games from 1996 to 1999
