The South Korean company Aproman (아프로만) was founded in 1980, initially as a chain of computer software and hardware stores. After the copyright law was introduced to Korea they switched to game publishing. Among the products published by Aproman were some of the earliest examples of domestically developed games. Aproman's president was Seong Jihwan. The company's game-publishing era ended with Ys II Special (1994).
