Overview edit · view history

Ice Code Games is a Polish game development studio with offices in Kraków, Rzeszów and Warsaw, even though most of the production team works remotely. It was established in 2014 by Paweł Wilk and Mateusz Pilski, who met during their years at the university of Warsaw. In the early years the company Solution3.14 was also used, which Wilk established independently in 2012.

Their first game was an AR multiplayer mobile game called Hools: Football Club Territory (2013), where players fight enemy football clubs for control over territories. It was inspired by Ingress.

The team grew and work was started on the prototype of a real-time strategy game known as Cult, with the player controlling a protagonist cult leader in a cyberpunk world. In the meantime more experiments with VR were done and in 2017 the platform game Deep Blue 3D Maze in Space with VR support was released.

The following years the studio released the puzzle game Packed Train (2018) and Cult saw the light of day as Re-Legion in 2019. In 2022 the tactical strategy game Hard West II was released.

On 7th February 2022 the company announced it had merged with Avatrix SA, for which negotiations started in 2020 but were slowed down due to formalities and slower of work of courts during the COVID19 pandemic. As a result of the merger, Avatrix changed its name to Ice Code Games. The new company is led by Wilk as President and Pilski as Vice-President.
