Happy Volcano is a Belgian game development studio based in Leuven. It was established in December 2013 by Jeroen Janssen, David Prinsmel and Peter Maasen, and officially founded on 6th October 2015.
The team debuted with the mobile title Lava Fever which they created in their free time while still working at the advertising agency Boondoggle. The game was not a commercial success, but they decided to continue working together. An augmented reality game Pixel Picasso was created for the 2018 and& festival in Leuven.
In 2019 they released the puzzle game The Almost Gone created in cooperation with the Belgian writer Joost Vandecasteele who provided a dark background story. In 2022 they released You Suck at Parking, a colourful and light-hearted action game about precision driving and parking.
