Overview edit · view history

TARGEM company was founded in Ekaterinburg in January of 2002 with the purpose of developing computer games. A year and a half before that, a group of enthusiasts began working on a new 3D engine called M3D. The work resulted in demo version of the game originally called Tribute to magic. The demo version was presented to several publishers. After long negotiations a contract with a leading Russian publisher Buka Entertainment was signed. The game was then released with the title Battle Mages.

In May 2005, the company was acquired by Nival Inc. and subsequently renamed Targem Studio.
