Pistol Shrimp is a company founded by Toys for Bob alumni Paul Reiche III and Fred Ford in 2017. They had previously released an enhanced open-source version of The Ur-Quan Masters (originally Star Control II) in 2002.
In 2021, the two left Toys for Bob and proceeded to work on The Ur-Quan Masters 2, with fellow ex-Toys for Bob staff Ken Ford and Dan Gerstein joining the team.
