Automata UK was a company established by Mel Croucher and Christian Penfold for ZX Spectrum releases. Croucher's games had the British surrealist trademark, with titles such as Pimania, My Name Is Uncle Groucho, You Win A Fat Cigar, and Deus Ex Machina.

In 1985 Croucher sold off the company for 10 pence.
