Dave Partington headed the mastering department at US Gold for several years, before moving on running a duplication company. He specialised in turbo loader systems for both cassette and floppy disk, together with custom disk formats to allow faster loading of gamers and extended capacity so more data could be stored on a single floppy disk.
He was mentioned in the credits on several games, including Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Gauntlet, and Road Runner, and other games by Lucas Arts, UBI Soft Entertainment and US Gold.
He is now running a company (R-Quest Technologies, LLC) that designs and manufactures professional high speed CD/DVD duplication equipment, with offices in both UK and USA. While no longer connected directly with the games industry as such, many of the products he designs are used within the industry, including companies such as Sony, Eidos, Electronic Arts, and many more …..
