Biography edit · view history
Tricia Gray started to work on games in 1995 as a host and writer for a TV show called Video Games Slams, and then started her career in the gaming industry at the bottom rung of the ladder, serving as a Q/A tester at SEGA of America. She quickly moved up to Sony's 1st-party Evaluation group testing games like Twisted Metal, as well as fighting to bring projects like PaRappa the Rapper to the U.S.
Showing a talent for evaluating a product's marketability, Tricia moved to Eidos as a producer and then quickly joined their public relations department. She became not only an advocate for Eidos' games, but also served as the personal representative of Ms. Lara Croft.
Her work at Eidos came to the attention of Terry Donovan who convinced her to leave San Francisco and move to NYC to launch his new company, Rockstar Games. Soon realizing that she was too Californian and too Southern for the vertical jungle of the Big Apple, she returned home to the SF Bay Area and successfully launched Gamers.com.
Tricia then jumped to the other side of the PR fence and became the West Coast Editor for Computer Games Magazine. Missing the fast pace of the PR life, however, she later joined Empire Interactive to help re-invent their image in North America. Although Trisha vowed this would be her last job in the games industry, she made a connection with the crew at Flagship Studios and was re-energized by the thoughts of what a gaming company could accomplish.
