Biography edit · view history
Zac completed his Computer Science degree in 2001. He worked in QA at Acclaim in Salt Lake City for a short time before starting at Neversoft Entertainment in 2002. There he started doing user interface on the Tony Hawk series, and within a few projects was promoted to play controls.
Highlights of his play control work include design and programming of the BMX system for Tony Hawk's American Wasteland and a complete animation overhaul for Tony Hawk's Project 8. After working on his sixth skateboarding title, Neversoft relinquished the Tony Hawk series and shifted focus to the newly acquired Guitar Hero line.
Zac wrote a complete drum input system for Guitar Hero World Tour, the first in the series to include drums. He also built a data driven drummer animation system for that title. For Guitar Hero Metallica, he headed up the PS3 programming. This was Neversoft's first title to include Sony's Trophy system.
Zac's most recently released project is Guitar Hero 5.
