The number of players that can play simultaneously is one of the most important aspects of a game, yet it is missing as a property on MobyGames. Maybe this has been asked before, then sorry but this is such an important aspect of a game that I'll ask it anyway.
Why not add a "number of players" field to the MobyGames database? That way, you could search more directly for multiplayer games like Timesplitters, Rampart etc. because at the moment there is AFAIK no way to do this.
Well maybe not a single field, I guess you'd also have to take into account single-player only/multi-player only games, games where take turns and network games.

Isn't this perhaps handled by the Number Of Players Offline and Number of Players Online tech-specs? Or do you mean that, rather than having different groups for 1-2 offline players and 1-4 offline players, etc. we simply have one group for games which support more than one person for simultaneous offline play?

Yeah, this is in the system since ages.
Taking the example TimeSplitters, one can find this multiplayer game via:
Number of Players: Offline 1-2 Players
Number of Players: Multitap 1-4 Players
Multiplayer Game Modes: Co-Op, Free-for-all, Team
Do we need anything more? :)
