this game can't be by the same Galactic Software that published the VIC-20 games and was founded a few years later by the Darlings (before creating Codemasters). Besides the dates and platforms, that company was British, the maker of Ultra-Trek was American. See for example this manual https://www.tim-mann.org/trs80/doc/ultratrek.txt

I haven't looked at all the games, but I note that we have a US Galactic Software cover for, 'Neutron Zapper' which also lists some other games which have been credited with UK releases of 'Space Shuttle' and 'Robot Mouse' which are listed as UK releases with that publisher. (Now a native English speaker would be best to identify the language used on the cover, whether it is a UK or US text - however it is possible the UK publishing credits for the two games I listed is incorrect, and the releases should be US ones?)

That Neutron Zapper cover looks British due to the spelling of "coloured".

Right you are; so did the same G.S. company have publishing offices in the US and UK you think?

The Ultra-Tek covers we have are just the cassette, but it is not using the same company logo as the Neutron Zapper; it looks more home-made, but then it's an earlier release.

(OTOH a company calling itself 'Galactic' could have offices just about anywhere.)

Now I googled a bit for this Ultra-Trek game, and found it mentioned in a few locations, but with a shorter company name 'Galactic' listed here: https://colorcomputerarchive.com/repo/Documents/Magazines/80-US%20Journal/80-US%20Journal%20Vol.%202%20No.%206%20-%20Nov-Dec%201979.pdf

Sold by mail order from 'realsoft program store' ni Washington. (page 31 in the pdf doc)

quote: ultra trek by William Schroeder from Galactic. Fast, enjoyable version with your mission to destroy the hostile base, 30 Klingons and 15 Romulans. Well documented. $14.95 :end quote

Also found in a cassette bundle with four other space games, by Creative Computing 10/1979 p97 https://archive.org/details/CreativeComputingbetterScan197910/page/n96/mode/1up?q=galactic+software (Here no company is mentioned.)

This is way before the UK Galactic Software was created in 1982 so there should be no connection, they just used the same name.
