Per the GOG.com store page for this game:

"This game is powered by ScummVM"

https://www.gog.com/game/zork_grand_inquisitor

I'm a member of the ScummVM team and plan to use this game group for other games that are commercially released using ScummVM.

Not exactly the same. ScummVM is no longer restricted to SCUMM games (e.g. Blade Runner, Myst, The 11th Hour...), and has been part of several official releases now, including LucasArts classics that it was originally made for.

I'm with Plok on this one. SCUMMVM covers a vast ecosystem of game engines now, SCUMM was only the beginning. Both SCUMM and SCUMMVM use are worth tracking.

What do I need to do to add a group for Middleware: ScummVM? This would only be used for games (such as this one) that have been commercially released using ScummVM.

As noted ScummVM is not the same as SCUMM.

Also, please note capitalization here: https://www.scummvm.org/

This is hard to track in the current site because it might give the impression that original versions of the games tapped the power of SCUMMVM while in all cases it was later re-releases that did so. I would wait.
