As usual, it will be accepted here once released, but not before.

I flagged it up because the Moby page has Steam release dates on Mar 21, 2023, but according to SteamDB it wasn't even a release that was later withdrawn, the game hasn't been released at all. Unless they changed from a different App ID that did get released?

Now that I checked, it seems that the user who submitted the release only ever contributed HexLands-related information, so he might have been one of the developers. I'm just confused where that specific date of Mar 21, 2023 came from.

Edit: ok that developer theory seems confirmed, the company's website links to this as their official youtube channel

The release date is from a closed alpha.

If that's not allowed as a release this should probably be escalated till it officially release. If it is allowed then the release info needs to be amended to state what this release date is for.

Thanks for that info!

Based on the standards page, I'd say it's probably not eligible for listing, as the game wasn't freely acquirable by the public:

A game is considered "released" if, at some point in its life, it is distributed in the manner intended by property owner. (...)

  • A free(ware) game is released when it is available for download from a website.
  • A commercial game is released when it is available for a fee, regardless of the transport mechanism (CDROM in a retail store, cell phone download, etc.)

But no clue how this policy is usually interpreted, I only joined this site last month xd
