Not a game I ever played, but I did find some information.

SSI:s -91 game catalogue lists it (with an ST version) in the wargames section, pg.7: www.mocagh.org/ssi/ssi-91catalog.pdf

I also found it textually referenced on a couple of sites; e.g. https://sites.google.com/site/ssihistory/Home/atari-st-games

(listed as possibly the last ST release from SSI)

1991 Releases -snip- Wargame Storm Across Europe July 1991, $59.95

However, a post on a BBS from aug. -91 indicates it was cancelled: http://www.atariarchives.org/cfn/12/05/03/0157.php

From Rich Bruns - Category 9, Topic 47, Message 70 - from the ST Round- table on Genie... I called SSI two days ago (I've called every month since December) to find out about STORM ACROSS EUROPE for the ST and they told be the project was cancelled. "A problem with the compiler", they said. They have been assuring me month after month that it would be comming out the following month. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE???!!!!!

So until one finds an actual box for ST, it could be vaporware.

Thank you for finding this info.

We have documented numerous examples of game ports announced in ads/catalogs, yet never released. Recently I've even submitted two such trivia bits about other wargames, as such vaporware incidents are common.

Many websites blindly copy info (often from us), never checking sources.

The two major ST websites ( atarimania.com / atarilegend.com ) don't list it. I saw one website listing it but mistaking for another title.

We have neither a cover nor screenshots on file. So either some proof from original contributor/approver, or we should delete it.
