I'm looking for a side scrolling black and white helicopter game from the 80s I think it was on an Apple II but I haven't found it in any of my searches is yet. It is definitely not chopped lifter. the game involved a base on the right and you produced soldiers and tanks and medical vans etc. As you produce them from your base they moved at a steady pace went left towards the enemy base who is doing the same. as your ground troops met The enemies ones coming from the left-hand side they would fight and you would win or they would win and you try and gain ground. you could use your helicopter to fly over the top and provide support giving you an advantage ultimately to get your troops all the way over to the left-hand side.
