When approving IGN MobyRanks we get this message in a yellow warning box:

The host name for the source url (cube.ign.com, dreamcast.ign.com, ds.ign.com, gameboy.ign.com, ign64.ign.com, mac.ign.com, ngage.ign.com, pc.ign.com, ps2.ign.com, ps3.ign.com, psp.ign.com, psx.ign.com, retro.ign.com, xbox.ign.com, xbox360.ign.com, wii.ign.com, wireless.ign.com, xboxlive.ign.com, vita.ign.com) does not match the host name for the ranking url (www.ign.com). This may be a red flag. Usually the source and the ranking urls have the same host names.

User falccn tells this:

The "MobyRank approved domains seem to no longer work, as IGN seem to have changed their URL rules. So pc/ds/ps2/etc.ign.com no longer work, as evidenced by your many IGN "broken" links throughout your site. Please include a "fix" URL link/form in your site, so users can submit the correct URLs.

With that in mind, please also fix your WINDOWS IGN review link to "http://www.ign.com/articles/1999/12/25/urban-chaos-4" (nothing else requires changes for that).

I remember someone mentioning the issue before the redesign, maybe now it can be fixed.

Noted and added to master bug list (as low priority for now!)

Issue with another ranking source:

The host name for the source url (http://www.gamesxtreme.net/, http://www.gamesxtreme.com/) does not match the host name for the ranking url (www.gamesxtreme.com). This may be a red flag. Usually the source and the ranking urls have the same host names.

Fixed the IGN warning. We'll have to replace the old URLs somehow. It's kind of weird they didn't set those up to redirect properly...

Re: GamesXtreme - they appear to be a dead source?
