1001 Video Games

The Arcade version of Gravitar appears in the book 1001 Video Games You Must Play Before You Die by General Editor Tony Mott.

Releases

This game was released twice. The first release, with a silver label, was only to Atari Club members. Atari later sold it in limited quantities in stores. Later, a red label version was released. The silver label release is harder to find.

Reception

The arcade game was commercially unsuccessful and many units were converted to play the game Black Widow, which used the same hardware. A home version was not released until the late 80s, when an Atari 2600 version was produced.
