The Council: Episode 2 - Hide and Seek

Louis de Richet, the player, arrived on Lord Mortimer's island in search of his mother, Sarah de Richet. But he wasn't the only guest to arrive. He soon found out that there are some of the world's most prominent figures on this island along with him, for reasons he was yet to uncover. While he found some clues that pointed to his mother being on the island, he only scratched the surface of the mystery behind her disappearance, and was yet to meet the host, Lord Mortimer.

Continuing on the events that took place in Episode 1, Louis finds himself among the last ones to be with Elizabeth Adams who was brutally murdered last night, thus being an obvious suspect. After a brief recap of the previous episode, Louis finds himself in Lord Mortimer's study where everyone is discussing last night's events. After getting acquainted with Lord Mortimer, Louis gets tasked to check the crime scene and find the suspect to Elizabeth's murder. Based on his skills, Louis will be able to shed more light on the clues he finds out on the crime scene, and during the time of his investigation, he is also permitted to enter and search all of the rooms of Lord Mortimer's guests.

But not to get too distracted with investigating Elizabeth's death, Louis is also still trying to find out more about his mother's whereabouts. In doing so he discovers an entrance to Lord Mortimer's secret room where he finds a message from his mother. This in turn leads him to a garden maze where he uncovers a passage to the catacombs. His visions of things around him that cause him nosebleeds and disorientation still happen every now and then that provide additional clues and help him in his quest even though he is still ignorant as to what is causing them or how to control them. The gameplay, dialogue challenges, story branching and skill upgrade system remain unaltered in functionality and only add new content.
