Yu-Gi-Oh!: Power of Chaos - Yugi the Destiny

The Good
The graphics in the game and the animations are really nice. Seeing cards that are destroyed exploding into pieces or seeing the table turn different colors when using a table effect card like Yami is really nice.

The gameplay is really good. The battles are easy to do, though challenging to win.

The tutorial is very good at explaining things, which is very good for new players. Since it highlights items and explains those items clearly, it is one of the better tutorials you will find.

Winning cards to build your deck is really nice. Even though that's pretty standard in Trading Card Games, it is still a nice addition in the game.

The Bad
The sounds get VERY annoying. Every battle, you have to listen to Yugi say something out of a list of perhaps three things and can't skip it. Then, after every battle you have to again listen to him say something out of a list of about three things for if he wins and three things for if you win. You quickly get tired of waiting for him to stop talking. Also, during the battle, Yugi talks using a short list of things he says. It also gets tiring to listen to him talking during the game. Short grunts when you damage him are fine, but having him say "I end my turn" after every turn, or longer comments such as "There must be something I can do, but what?" get to be a pain. If you could skip those or turn them off, it wouldn't be so bad. You can turn off your sound, but you still have to wait until the talking is done to continue playing.

You only get to battle Yugi and he always seems to have the same deck of cards. After awhile, you just get tired of him. It would have been nicer to battle various people with very different deck setups. When you play the match games, you get to use a sideboard to swap in cards for the following round... but when you already know his deck, there is no real need for the sideboard. You should already have set your deck up to beat him without needing to use a sideboard to change your deck after learning what your opponent has for cards. Although Yugi's deck does change over time, the changes are not that great, so it is pretty easy to know what he'll have in his deck.

The Bottom Line
Get rid of the sounds and add more decks/players to battle against and the game would be perfect. Other than those problems, the game is a really fun Trading Card Game to play and will get you interested in playing Yu-Gi-Oh! if you aren't already.

I definitely suggest this game as one of the better Yu-Gi-Oh! games you can currently play.
