Description
Project Omega is an early black and white managerial simulation.
The year is 1990, and you are governor of one of Earth's first orbiting space colonies. The game is played by adjusting yearly settings for your colony's development, and each turn takes 1 year. Your job is to build industrial capacity off-world, and demonstrate the feasibility of orbiting production facilities, to reduce the pollution present on Earth. As governor, you must recruit workers for your factories, set salaries, construct living spaces and entertainment venues to keep them happy, and provide healthcare. You will need to expand your industrial capacities and build more housing to increase the size of your colony. Every year, you will need to pay for damage to your facilities from meteorite strikes.
Ultimately, you must pay off your initial 100 billion dollar amortization, finish construction of the orbiting colony, and recruit a sufficient population. Then, after building sufficient cash reserves, you will have demonstrated the feasibility of off-world colonization, and be victorious.
