The Amazing Blackjack Machine

Moby ID: 120985

Description

The Amazing Blackjack Machine is a black and white text-based program designed for the development, analysis, and study of blackjack.

Acting as a blackjack simulator, this game allows the player to set up a variety of blackjack situations, and simulate game play against custom computer opponents. The player can choose specific initial hands, betting strategies, and game play characteristics. For instance, the player can always start with two cards totaling 16, and can simulate 100 games where they hold and 100 games where they draw another card. They can then compare which strategy leads to optimized victory conditions.

The player can also set dealer characteristics, such as if a new deck of cards is drawn each game, or at what values the computer will hold or draw a new card to optimize strategies against such an opponent. Betting strategies can be optimized by simulating large or low bets with specific card combinations.
