TV series references

In addition to the title and being about the oil business, the game has a few references to the TV series of the same name. The rival corporation that has to be taken over is called Euing Associates which is a reference to the series' Ewing family. Also, the music that is played over the title screen uses the melody of the series' theme song.

Version differences

For the ZX Spectrum the game was released in both 16 KB and 48 KB versions. The 16 KB is the same as the ZX81 version but with added colour. The main difference with the 48 KB version is that it has real graphic in the form of simpler icons on the map and not just letters and asterisks. Versions on other platforms are most similar to the 48 KB version.
