Squigs
Description
Squigs is a public domain variant of Sega's arcade puzzle game Columns.
In this version the blocks are represented by various coloured cute aliens (between 5 and 8, depending on the difficulty level). These fall in random groups of 3 and have to be grouped into horizontal, vertical or diagonal sequences of 3 the same colour. Diagonal sequences are hardest to get, but score the most points. The real trick is to set up combos where one line causes other blocks to drop as to create other lines.
Columns' Flash game is represented here as a 'Rescue' game, in which you are aiming to remove a particular block—which is indicated by a 'Help' sign.
