Roland Garros 2007
Description
Roland Garros 2007 is a tennis game based around the yearly gravel tennis tournament in France. It is a follow-up to the developer's Roland Garros from the year before. The game modes are Practice, Exhibition and Roland Garros.
Gameplay is fairly identical to the previous game, but this version has slightly faster exchanges and there is a small amount of scrolling compared to the fixed screen of the previous game. Some versions of the game have support for local versus multiplayer matches against another player through Bluetooth. New to the series is that female competitors are now included as well. Players are unlicensed, but name and appearance closely match the real ones. Players also have different characteristics now, based on the parameters accuracy, speed and strength.
The player can be freely moved around the court. Shots are done using three keys for different directions: left, centre and right. When a shot button is pressed twice, an automatic dropshot or lob is performed. Before hitting the ball up, down, left or right can already be pressed to change the shot direction. A yellow marker shows where the ball is going to land. Serving is done using a charge meter.
