Bridge Builder
Description
In Bridge Builder you are playing an architect who designs, builds and eventually tests his bridges.
When you start a game, you see a cross-section through a river, that’s the river were the railway will drive over when you succeeded in building a bridge. In each level you have a different river, every time a bit more complex. On special points on the bank of the river, or inside it, you begin building your bridge. You can only attach the bridge on those points to the ground. But bridge braces can be attached to other braces. Each section you lay, regardless of the size, costs 100$, and of course, your budget is limited.
Once you think your railway bridge is stable, you can test it by let the game drive a railway through it. The game will then display stress points on the bridge, were it might breach (or actual do). For this, the game uses a realistic physics engine.
Two possibilities will occur: either the train makes it somehow over the bridge, or your train sinks in the river. When the first occur, you can proceed with the next level. If you end up in the river, you go back to the drawing board. Since you now have seen what went wrong, you can correct it by attaching more braces or correct some others.
In addition is to say, that you don’t need a perfect bridge. The bridge itself doesn’t need to hold at all, so you can still complete a level, when the railway is driven successful through and shortly after that the bridge collapse. Or if you like, you can build weird, crazy bridges, or perfect bridges, as already said, it must only hold the train once.
The game offers 15 different levels were you can test your skills.

Trivia
Development
The game was initially only for the developer and his friends, but they decided to make it public, so that a few others could also enjoy it. Shortly after that, they had to take it off their T1 server connection due to its large bandwidth demands.
