Blood and Lust

Blood and Lust is a single player, freeware, murder mystery, set in ancient Rome. It can be played either with the mouse or with the keyboard.

Aelius is a slave, when he was thirteen his father died leaving great debts so as eldest son he was sold to pay them. Luckily he was bought for ten years by Caius and was trained as a gladiator. Aelius fought often, fought well and earned his owner & benefactor a lot of money, so much money that Caius announced that he was releasing him from his contract three years early. Aelius goes to the coliseum for his last day of combat but when he returns his master is dead and the papers that guaranteed his freedom are missing. This and subsequent events lead Aelius to investigate the death of Caius.

As this is a visual novel style game there is no spoken dialogue, the game is entirely text based with the player being given choices at various points. As Aelius is a gladiator there are combat sequences which are fought by making textual choices.

The developers state that this is a bara visual novel which means it contains homoerotic content however this is optional as when the player starts the game they are given the option of either playing the uncensored version or skipping the explicit content.
