Description
Duchess is a 1-player card game for the Apple II.
Duchess is played with a standard 52 card deck. The first 12 cards are dealt, face up and overlapping, forming the four reserve piles. The exposed cards on each pile is available for play or the tableau piles.
The next four cards from the deck are dealt face up forming the four tableau piles.
The object of Duchess is to play all of the cards to the four foundations following suit and sequence. Once the cards have been dealt, the player needs to decide which of the eight exposed cards is to be the first foundation card. The other three cards of the same rank as the first foundation card will be played automatically to their respect foundation as they become available.
