Fun puzzler that overstays its welcome

The Good
The art style appropriately set the mood of a dystopian future. At the start of the game, you don't really have much of a clue about what's going on, but the game gently eases you into the controls and you quickly get the hang of things. The puzzles are generally reasonable. Some are more traditional puzzles, while others are more twitch-based. The sound is appropriate to the setting, but there is no real voice acting to speak of.

The Bad
At various points in the game, your "spirit" inhabits a new "body", and the control system completely changes. At these points, you are not given any explanation as to how the controls work, and so I found myself missing things not because I wasn't playing well, but because I didn't understand the controls. In addition, the puzzles got repetitive over time and the game felt like it was stretching on too long. I started wishing for it to be over. Finally, while there are multiple endings, some of the endings require doing very illogical things, and so most players will never even know that there was more than one ending.

The Bottom Line
7th Sector is an action/adventure set in a dystopian future. If you like action/puzzle games, you may enjoy this game, but it is not the best written or constructed example of such a game. It starts off fun but gradually becomes less entertaining over time.
