Take a walk on the Path of the Shell

The Good
Well the additions of this addon are welcome : two big new ages & a lots of new places, new Relto pages...

The main story creates the link between Uru solo, the death of Uru Live and Myst 5, by explaining the ascension of Yeesha, and introducing with subtlety the character of Esher (well, he is just talked about in one of the books).

The new ages are gorgeous, and very different, both in visual and gameplay. Music blends itself with what has been done on the original, and is still beautiful while discrete.

The Bad
First, the controls of Uru are still there. They are not that dreadful, but having to switch to the 1st person view to jump correctly is kind of breaking the immersion...

Second, the gameplay mechanics of the new ages are irritating : in one, you have to wait quite a long time before being able to continue, in another one, the transition between ages is the puzzle, and since the loading-times are still a little long...

But Uru is a game in which you take your time, so, hopefully, it won't kill you !

The Bottom Line
I loved Uru, even so I'm not really good at Myst-like games. This addon still carries the ambiance I loved so much, while adding new welcomed content.

If you liked Uru, I believe you should try this one. If you didn't, it won't change your mind (you will certainly hate it even more, so... ^_^).
