Kat's Run: Zen-Nippon K Car Senshuken
Description
Kat's Run: Zen-Nippon K Car Senshuken is an arcade racing game somewhat similar to OutRun, because of its almost seamless location transfer without any pauses or menus.
The player is able to choose from 10 male or female racers and vehicles from the "kei car" category (smallest highway-legal passenger cars in Japan), each with its own unique characteristics, namely: Autozam AZ-1; Daihatsu Mira TR-XX; Honda Beat; Honda Today; Mitsubishi Minica Dangan ZZ-4; Mitsubishi Toppo; Suzuki Alto Works; Suzuki Cappuccino; Suzuki Jimny; Suzuki Wagon R. Also, 2 characters and a mini police car are hidden.
There are 2 modes to play in: Street Race, Vs Race. In the first mode player has to compete against 9 opponents along with chasing police. The second mode is a two-player split-screen one and it has 4 courses to select from.
Some obstacles can be found on the roads, such as: whirls, jump-pads, pits, mud, ice, etc. Also, different power-ups are lying around (nitro boosts, bombs, spike traps, high heels, teddy bears, bags, barrels, etc.) to use them during the race.
There is a small window displaying the driver and his or her reactions on various occurring situations.
