Great sequel to Adventure Boy Cheapskate

The Good
As with its prequel, Adventure Boy: Jailbreak is both a fun and a funny game. The graphics are pleasant and well-animated, the sound is bouncy and uplifting, the puzzles are well-designed, and the text is almost uniformly funny. The game knows when to poke fun at itself as well, and many a time I found a character in the game saying what I was just thinking. The game design is tightened up a bit from the previous game, with areas opening up better over time, so that the player isn't overwhelmed with too many new locations to visit and characters to talk with at once.

The Bad
It would have been nice if there had been voice acting. Also, the game ended a bit abruptly - I would have liked to see a better end sequence.

The Bottom Line
Adventure Boy: Jailbreak is a fun, humorous, 3rd person adventure controlled by the keyboard. The puzzles are better designed and the story is more interesting than many mainstream adventure games. While it's only about an hour long, you will enjoy the hour that you spend with it.
