Quiz Castle

Quiz Castle is an educational side-scrolling quiz game for the Apple II.

You play the role of the dedicated truth seeker Professor Penguin, who has been sent to recover the magic Mortarboard, which was stolen by the evil Siniguin. You must explore the depths of Castle Singuin to find the Mortarboard, and even attempt to capture the Siniguin himself.

Played from a side perspective, players can move left, right, and jump. As they progress, they encounter obstacles and treasure chests which can only be collected by answering quiz questions. At the beginning of each game, the player chooses the category and time to answer each question. After exploring the castle and recovering the Mortarboard, the player encounters a music memory puzzle, which if they are successful, can attempt to capture the Siniguin. Here, the player must answer a number of questions quickly and accurately, or the Siniguin will flee to safety.
