The Commodore 64 version was written by Joe Vierra.
Beginning of the game gets you used to the movements. In some screens, the fire button makes you jump, as shown here. In others, it fires a slow, white projectile.
In this room, you have to defeat a series of monsters coming out of the top. If you hit the bird (top righ of the screen) 3 times, it turns into a fireball and helps you destroy the other monsters.
Snakes come down the tunnel at you like bullets.
The space bar gives you a map of the dungeon that you have explored so far.
