Rum Run

In Rum Run the player controls one or several ships that need to supply food to an impoverished village. The money to purchase that food is generated by trading rum and food with other nearby islands. The price for rum and food is constantly changing and obviously the right strategy is to buy low and sell high. When making deliveries, the player is awarded Turtle Points that allow to unlock upgrades: additional ships, faster ships, higher quality food and rum etc.

If enough food is delivered, the village gets fully rebuilt and the next map gets unlocked. The game offers five maps of increasing difficulty to unlock, with later maps introducing pirate ships and storms that need to be avoided. If the player runs out of food to deliver before the village has been fully rebuilt, the game is lost.

The ships are controlled by drawing a path on the screen, or, if playing on a computer with no touchscreen, by using the mouse.
