The menu screen
thumbnail
In the demo version there are only two tutorial scenarios available
thumbnail
After selecting a scenario there's a short delay while the game loads.
thumbnail
The main game control areas are the icons in the bottom & top left. The yellow trophy icon at the top left displays the current objectives, first of which is to buy some land to build on
thumbnail
This is how land is bought, now to buy a hotel. When the hotel is bought the player is offered a choice of themes.
thumbnail
The a small hotel is about to be placed on the vacant lot. Once placed it must be linked to the strip by a path so that guests can access it.
thumbnail
The hotel has been placed. Guests have arrived. The panel in the bottom left allows access to the hotel's status and finances
thumbnail
The player can speed up the game and watch the money roll in. As guests spend money little green numbers appear. Why they seem to use the rooms for about an hour a time beats me...
thumbnail
This shows the detailed stats of he hotel. 78 people have used the rooms in one day. There are stats on power & water usage plus, in the bar at the bottom, information on the kind of guest
thumbnail
The player can change the camera view to zoom in & out as well as fly around. All buildings like hotels need maintenance huts to be built to support them. Here a head office is being placed.
thumbnail
The head office building is a pre-requirement before the player can build souvenir shops and other tourist buildings
thumbnail
The complex is growing. Here an electrician's hut has been placed as this worker is needed to maintain the cinema
thumbnail
The game has a set of 'filters' which change the view. These are management aids. Here the noise filter has been selected and noisy areas show up red.
thumbnail
This is a filtered view that shows the buildings and their state of repair - white is best. The darker the colour the worse state they're in.
thumbnail
Now a casino has been added. Once linked to a path guests will arrive. Players can enter casinos and customise them
thumbnail
The casino starts off empty, naturally, and looks pretty empty with just one slot machine in it.
thumbnail
Slot machines fill up so each casino must have a cashiers office. The cashier is the worker who empties the machines.
thumbnail
Now there's a gaming table the casino will generate real money. This requires the presence of a security guard. This filter view shows the guards effective area and that he needs repositioning
thumbnail
More slot machines and customisation has been done and the place is getting quite busy
thumbnail
The player can change the camera position inside the casino too
thumbnail
This is the casino viewed through the maintenance filter
thumbnail
A cleaner is required to maintain the casino floor and sweep up the litter generated by the customers. Then there's the bar, the kitchens etc
