Lotería

Lotería is a Google Doodle that celebrates the traditional Mexican game of lotería, where each player is given a card similar to that in bingo, except the card has a grid of pictures instead of numbers. The announcer calls out the names of different images, and the players must place a token (usually a bean) on that picture in the hopes of eventually filling a row or creating some other assigned pattern. The Google version mirrors this closely, with each player given a grid of random images. The game then announces various cards, by both showing an image and playing a clip of an announcer saying its name. The player must place a bean on each announced card if they have it and, once they have a match for the assigned pattern, click the "lotería" button before the other players do to win the game. Players can see how much of their opponents' boards are filled, though not the individual cards. The game may be played with friends by sending them a private link, or the game will match up random participants.
