TANKTICS

COMPUTER GAME OF ARMORED COMBAT ON THE EASTERN FRONT

6 September 1943: Following the debacle at Kursk, the German Army reels back to the protection of the Dnieper River The Red Army pursues hard, trying to turn a retreat into a rout. A Soviet armored unit breaks through the thin line and heads for a vital road junction, hoping to cut off the retreating German infantry. Your tiny panzer group is the only unit capable of stopping them. You are outnumbered two to one, but your orders are firm: stop the Soviet tanks. With grim determination your tired tankers head down the road for another desperate battle.

This is TANKTICS, a simulation of armored combat on the Eastern Front during World War II. You command a force of up to eight German tanks or anti-tank guns, ranging from lightly-armored Panzerkampfwagen III's to the awesome King Tiger Your opponent is the computer commanding a force of Russian tanks or anti-tank guns. The battle swirls across a landscape of forests, lakes, roads, depressions, and rough ground. The computer takes care of all the calculations, even figuring what your tanks can see. Most importantly it fights with an intelligence that may take you by surprise. To beat the computer you must have a firm grasp of armored tactics, good judgement, and a willingness to take risks.

TANKTICS includes:

■ Two-piece, full color 22 " x 16" mapboard

■ Over 240 1/2" counters

■ Five different scenarios

■ Instruction Booklet

■ Cassette
