Description
Microzine is an educational disk-based magazine published by Scholastic between 1983 and 1992. Each issue generally contains a simple adventure game, often with a Choose Your Own Adventure Style. Issue no. 7 contains: What's Inside - A look at this issue of Microzine*
- Brain Drain - A Chose Your Own Adventure style game where you play as a young moon Scout desperate to reach the rank of Star Scout like your other classmates. A space friendship mission to Barnacus is leaving tomorrow, and if you complete this mission you will be promoted. On the way, you learn the mission is to find the lost archaeologist Dr. Gastonne Minar who has now moved on to planet Octloch. If the player remembers hints throughout the game, they can rescue the lost doctor.
- Computer Stuff - A program designed to make a data disk
- City Blocks - The player puts together different city structures to make their own cityscape
- Survey Taker - A program designed to make and record survey data
- Back Page - Letters to the editor, Micro-Toon an animated cartoon, and Star Scout Scramble a word unscrambling game
