Valtric
Description
Valtric is a vertically-scrolling shooter in which the player controls a hover-tank that is able to move and shoot in eight directions. Much like Xevious, the tank can also drop bombs. The game is divided into four different areas filled with various types of enemies and obstacles. Unlike the overwhelming majority of scrolling shooters, Valtic doesn't use auto-scrolling. Instead, the players have to "push-scroll" by moving the vehicle forward. The tank's firepower can be upgraded through power-ups as well as drones that get attached to the vehicle (similar to the "options" from the Gradius games) and fire in the direction in which they were attached. The players can temporarily avoid enemy fire and obstacles by pushing the ascend button.
