beatmania IIDX 17: Sirius
Description
Sirius is the 17th entry in to Konami's beatmania IIDX rhythm game series.
The game performs songs to the player via a controller consisting of seven main buttons and a scratchable turntable. Hitting the notes with a good timing improves the gauge bar for score and groove, enabling the player to finish the level. Failure to do so will deplete the gage until it is zero, which will end the song abruptly.
Sirius introduces two additional types of note to the game, "charge notes" or Hold-me notes that must be held for their length, and the "back spin scratch," a type of scratch that must be spun continuously in one direction and spun again at the end of the note to the opposite side. In the position test construct selected songs included these features.
A new "party mode" consists of a story mode where, based on their results, players gain "fans." Another new mode, "League Mode," is a course where each song is selected from grade D to grade S, depending on the grade they have chosen. Chosen songs and the score you win will ultimately translate to League Points.
