The game's starting screen. In this higher scale, AGI style graphics still allow quite a detailed view of human figures.

The police was called to this address. John will discovered that the tenants are old friends of his; he too narrowly missed a fate like theirs...
This fragment made me think how up-to-date this game is despite the plot being set in early 90s... :(
A great aspect of this game are the rich character backstories. Here we have Morris Avery, from whom John once tried to steal a TV set...
...and it were Morris and his wife who helped him sort his life out by not reporting him to the police in exchange for him helping them around the house.
You can play with the radio a bit if you want to. However, an important mission begins here: Morris Avery's twin sons have disappeared.
A bar with a journalist known to John and Al.
The game has really nice character portraits - something missing from AGI games, but it's not "real AGI", it's a Windows game with AGI style graphics.
The Santeria store - outside view...
...and inside view. I really liked this screen.
Surprisingly, John and Al don't really mention the (unjust) drug law, they rather treat the owner as a crook rather than someone dealing in legally suspicious wares.
After some trouble, John and Al manage to interview a wounded police officer who might help them find "the Mexican with the scar".
An abandoned lot next to the tracks. This blue looks so calming...
The video cassette and electronics store.
After some trouble, we manage to reach Frank Pellington, a paranormal publisher who befriended Morris Avery's teenage sons.
The Avery twins became interested in researching obscure legends. Here the Santa Suerte story begins...
There's also a museum next to the bookstore and despite the hurry, we can take a tour.
Frank Pellington is a bit of a narcissist...
A tour of the museum. Click both mouse buttons on everything, the stories are really interesting! Hats off to the developers for having collected them.
This game mostly adheres to the EGA palette... but not always. Here we clearly have more shades of gray than the two available in EGA.
Reaching the gangster Rico, for whom the Mexican with the scar works. These tattoos worked out really well in these low-res graphics.
Time to make a quick escape...
The map is very simple, but I nevertheless enjoy collecting map screenshots.
The old warehouse
Inside the warehouse - John and Al managed to get in through the skylight.
The Mexican was really offering human hearts to Santa Suerte. The boys could have met the same fate if they weren't rescued...
Interesting light effects for such a simple palette.
The bloody altar of Santa Suerte.
As in most EGA games, white people have bright red faces in this game. However, Santa Suerte is not quite alive...
...so another non-EGA shade is used for her skin. I think that "bedsheet white" would have been enough, even Commander Keen was white as a sheet despite being alive. ;)
After being run over, Santa Suerte's body was delivered to the morgue... and we are in for a surprise at the end...
Are we missing some important screenshots?
