Despite the title, these digitized black-and-white sprites seem to be wearing karate gi's.
Roundhouse kick to the face
Defeat is suprisingly gruesome in this game.
Perfectly executed mawashi-geri (roundhouse kick) and mae-geri (front kick): the fighting style looks more and more like karate than kung-fu.
Being pushed off the mat is totally inconsequential.
