Phantomas
Description
Phantomas is a Jet Set Willy-influenced platform game consisting of 80 rooms. The task is to reach a millionaire's mansion and 'borrow' as much as possible from it. The player reaches the mansion by first passing through a junkyard, then they negotiate the mansion and its maze of traps, finally escaping through a series of underground caverns. The player is given one life, which can be drained via contact with enemies but restored by squares of energy collected en route. Various methods of transport between levels is possible, such as using rockets or helicopters.

Trivia
Origins of 'series'
Teenage friends Enrique Cervera and Emilio Pablo Salgueiro Torrado were developing platform games simultaneously at the age of fifteen, and sent them to Dinamic together. The company decided to exploit the similarity of the two games and release them as a series. Enrique's ghost-themed game was closer to being finished, so Emilio's was changed from its original thief theme to be a sequel to Phantomas. Torrado's later title Dustin saw him finally write a thief-based game.
UK release background
This was Codemasters' first Spectrum release, and one of the few which was not an original creation.
