Description official descriptions

U.S. Navy Fighters allows players to fly US naval aircraft over Ukraine in a war against Russia. The game features a campaign, single missions, an in-game single mission creator, and a quick mission creator. The game offers not typical cockpit view where instead of myriad of indicators, gauges and buttons, the player receives information in the corners of the screen in order to interact.

A Flight SIM that is a BIT too Arcade Like.....

The Good
At its time this was one of the best looking Flight SIMs on the Market. This is also the game that created many of the Jane's games that most people do like, or at least respect. This was a good game in its day, but Flight SIMs dont age very well

The Bad
The SOUND, and the MUSIC, its terrible. The fact that finding the enemy is the biggest joke in the game. I tried using autopilot for a whole mission, and I did not see one, not ONE, enemy plane.

The Bottom Line
There are alot of better Flight Sims out there, but if you feel that the original is the one you want do for it.

Trivia

The game was unrealistic, but really fun to play due to its great dogfights and the control players had over the game.

Many computers at the time of its release could barely run the game because of its great graphics, complete with high-res modes and full textures.

Flyable aircraft were: F-14 Tomcat, F/A-18 Hornet, A-7 Corsair, F-22 "Lightning II" (carrier capable of course), Su-33 Flanker, and F-104 Starfighter (added as a bonus plane with no real relevance).

USNF was the precursor to EA's/Jane's Advanced Tactical Fighters, USNF'97, Fighters Anthology, etc.

Custom libraries were addons made by users, which added aircraft, weapons, vehicles, etc. and some made the game more realistic.
