JumpStart Adventure Challenge

JumpStart Adventure Challenge is a game that was never released as standalone, but as a bonus disc with several releases of games in the JumpStart series (1996-1998):* JumpStart Adventures: 3rd Grade - Mystery Mountain (Deluxe Edition)

• JumpStart Adventures: 4th Grade - Sapphire Falls (Deluxe Edition)
• JumpStart Adventures: 5th Grade - Jo Hammet, Kid Detective (Deluxe Edition)
• JumpStart Adventures: 6th Grade - Mission: Earthquest (Deluxe Edition)

In 2003 the game was re-released as a bonus disc for several disc sets in the JumpStart Advanced series: As Far Out Field Trips* on JumpStart Advanced: 3rd Grade

• As Ultimate Field Trips on JumpStart Advanced: 4th Grade
• As Extreme Field Trips on JumpStart Advanced: 5th & 6th Grade

The game is also almost completely identical to JumpStart Around the World. That version was included in four releases between 1996 and 1999 aimed at preschool children and the first two grades:* JumpStart Preschool (Deluxe Edition)

• JumpStart 1st Grade (Deluxe Edition)
• JumpStart 2nd Grade (Deluxe Edition)

The only difference with JumpStart Adventure Challenge is that in that version no destination and means of transportation need to be selected, an event can be chosen right away.

Unlike the other games in the JumpStart series it has no educational value and offers a variety of sports events. In the JumpStart Adventures releases only four activities were available and four more could be downloaded from the internet following the release. In the JumpStart Advanced versions all eight activities are included right away. All activities are set in a location called Adventure World with three difficulty levels. By winning events design elements can be collected to create a magazine. When the magazine has two full pages for an event, a sticker set is provided.

The initial four activities are:* Bike Trails: downhill mountain biking

• Boardwalk: inline skating
• Rocky Cliff Rock: rock climbing
• Snowy Mountain: snowboarding

The additional four activities are:* Beach: surfing

• Observatory: hang-gliding
• River: river rafting
• Skate Park: skateboarding
