Escape Lab: Episode 1

Escape Lab: Episode 1 is an online escape room for two players, although a single-player version is also available. The game takes place in a dark atmosphere of the lab of Dr. Holmes, a psychopathic biologist who carries out sadistic scientific experiments on animals - and also on humans.

The game is made for two people, and the puzzles are designed accordingly. Although it can be possible to solve them by yourself (hence the single player version of the game), the puzzles are easier and more rewarding when solved in collaboration. The developer advises to keep a communication channel open: this can either be that both players are sitting next to each other, or are talking over the phone for the duration of the game.

The game takes 1 to 2 hours to complete, normally. Escape-room savvy players will lean towards the one hour mark, while first timers should expect to finish the game closer to the two hour mark. Some puzzles have adaptive difficulty, which means that if the players are stuck for too long, hints show up.
