Springster

Springster is a 1 - 2 player arcade game for the TRS-80 CoCo.

Springster is the master of the Magnificent Maze! This maze, composed of 32 different planes, is filled with fabulous treasures, but is fraught with hidden dangers and deadly bad guys. The immensely valuable Maze Melon has been taken by the evil Maze Marauder, and placed in the lowest plane of the maze. Springster must recover the melon and return it to the highest level.

The player controls a spring, which can move in all directions on a maze, but can not move to levels that are too high or low. There are 8 total platform levels. On each level, the player has a limited amount of time to gather the displayed number of treasures. After this, the player must obtain a pot of gold and move it to a red square. This opens the purple square, which the player must land on to move to the next level. If the player is holding an emerald ring, and moves onto a red square, all enemies will temporarily become disoriented and move randomly. If the player moves onto a green square, they will kill all enemies on other green squares. After several uses, these squares turn black, and mean instant death. If the player is caught by an enemy, it's game over. Dark blue squares reveals special prizes, and light blue squares will make a player invisible if they are holding a candle.
